Overview
Kamioooka is a polyphonic Full-Modular synthesizer with patch cable system. You can freely combine modules and make patches. 10 module slots and 7 types of modules (VCO/VCF/VCA/ADSR/LFO/MISC/SEQ) are available.
VCO : Oscillator, with PWM/FM/Sync function
VCF : HPF/BPF/LPF filter
VCA : Amplifier with modulation input
ADSR : Two ADSR Envelope Generator
LFO : Two LFO with tempo sync mode
MISC : Ring modulator/Noise Generator/Sample&Hold/Inverter
Kamioooka is a 32/64-bit VST Instrument for Windows. Place the "Kamioooka.dll" (for 32-bit) or "Kamioooka x64.dll" (for 64-bit) file to your appropriate VST folder.
ATTENTION
In ver 1.0.2 or later, the Unique-ID of the 64-bit version is changed. Old patch (.fxp/.fxb) made with 1.0.0/1.0.1 may not be loadable. (If you want to use anyway, VSTHost/SAVIHost can load forcibly and can be convert to new ID by exporting)

'VCO' (voltage controlled oscillator) is a oscillator module.
Out : oscillator signal output
PWM : pulse width modulation input.
Mod : modulation level from PWM input-jack signal
Manu : default pulse width setting
(PWM will affect to all waveforms. not only the square wave)
Oct : octave selection (-2 to +2)
Form : wave form selection
Pitch : oscillator pitch
outer ring : -1oct to +1oct. semitone step.
inner knob : -100cent to +100cent.
Sync : Oscillator Sync input. This oscillator is forced to synchronize to incoming signal with complex harmonics.
FM in : FM synthesis mode (affect to Mod2/3)
Switch the modulation input to FM (VCO to VCO modulation) mode.
This mode enables per sample pitch modulation and change pitch modulation curve to FM suitable one.
Otherwise, the modulation will not respond to fast signals. (even if this may generate interesting sounds)
Mod 1/2/3 : pitch modulation input
usually Mod1 will be connected to keyboard CV. Note the fader should be max for accurate pitch according to keyboard.
VCF
'VCF' (voltage controlled filter) is a filter module.
Sig 1/2/3 : 3ch signals input-jack and mixer.
HPF/BPF/LPF : filter type selection.
Freq : cutoff frequency control.
Reso : resonance control.
Out : signal output-jack.
ToReso : modulate the 'Reso' parameter with Mod2/3 signals instead of the cutoff frequency.
Mod 1/2/3 : cutoff frequency or resonance modulation input.
usually Mod1 will be conneted to keyboard CV for the cutoff frequency tracking to the signal pitch.
'VCF' (voltage controlled filter)
HPF/BPF/LPF :
Freq :
Reso :
VCA
'VCA' (voltage controlled amplifire) is an amplifire module.
Sig 1/2/3 : 3ch signals input-jack and mixer.
Default Gain : the default gain of the amplifire. this knobs determine the gain when no signals are on modulation inputs.
Out : signal output-jack.
Cascade : cascade modulation mode for Mod2/3.
in the cascade mode, the modulation with Mod2/3 signals will be cascaded modifier instead of parallel. In many cases (for example, ADSR + LFO), the cascade mode whould be appropriate to make expected sounds. Note that the Mod1 remains as a primary envelope because Mod2/3 are unity based modifiers.
'ADSR' is a envelope generator controlled with four parameters attack/decay/sustain/release.This module has two independent envelope generators in one module.
A : attack time setting.
D : decay time setting.
S : sustain level setting.
R : release time setting.
Trig : the trigger signal for the envelope generator. usually be connected to keyboard Gate signal.
Out : output of the envelope signal. There are two output-jacks for positive and negative signals.
'LFO' is a low frequency oscillator module. This module has two independent oscillators in one module.
Form : wave form selection.
Freq : oscillator frequency setting.
Tempo Sync : oscillator frequency is synchronized to song's tempo (the host app should provide the tempo information).
Trig : the trigger signal input for the LFO. if connected, the LFO is forced reset with this trigger signal goes from zero or negative to positive. for example, LFO will reset with any note-on if connected to keyboard-gate. the trigger is effective on any polyphonic channel.
Out : output of the oscillators. There are two output-jacks for 1/10 and 1/1 level signals.
'SEQ' is a 8 step small sequencer. 'SEQ' module has two modes of 'FreeRun' and 'OneShot'. In the FreeRun mode, the sequence is automatically looped and provides same signals to all polyphonic channels. On the other hand, OneShot mode provides independent signals to each polyphonic channels according to the triggers and stop when reached to step 8. It means the OneShot mode can be used as a complex envelope generator.
Rate : sequence speed.
Tempo Sync : sequencer speed is synchronized to song's tempo (if the host app provide tempo information).
FreeRun : the sequencer is free-run. otherwise, the sequencer is a one-shot mode. in one-shot mode, the sequencer should be triggered from the 'Trig' input.
Smooth/Gap/Step : signal mode.
Step : the output level is fixed for each step.
Gap : level 0 period is inserted to each step.
Smooth : the output level is changed gradually.
1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 : output level for each step. this level is -1 to +1 range.
Trig : the trigger signal for the sequencer. if connected to keyboard Gate, the sequence is restart each note-on.
Out : output of the sequencer signal. There are two output-jacks for 1/10 and 1/1 level signals.
